Must I tell you so?

By torn_beauty

Tension builds inside,
a trepidation filled flight
of emotion almost forgot,
through my body soars.

Must I be so honest?
To tell you these things,
is an ever twisting arrow
tearing through my heart.

I have heard your words,
spoken over and over.
They fill my insides to the brim
with hope and a sense of,

vulnerability.

Love is an over-used word
I so hate to say it.
Once uttered, it flies free of me
and pierces through my facade.
