Mother Nature's Voice

By MABUS

We no longer listen to nature. We no longer hear her voice. The voice of nature has been drowned by the machanical miricals and our fast paced lives. Maybe human's downfall is that they no longer can hear natures voice, they can no longer lear from her and gain wisdom through her teachings. Lets all stop for a minute and try to listen. I believe it would sound something like this...

What you didnt' hear it... Well lets try again, but this time listen closely and truly hear what she has to say...

What still nothing... Well let me descrive it for you so you know what to listen for...

The howling wind
Cries out in agony

The striking lightning
Decends in anger of
Forgotteness

The moon shines
In gloomy reflection

The rain falls in
Defeat

The animals cower
In fear

The sea rolls
In submissiveness

The volcano errupts
In a rage of defiance

The trees whisper
Of what once was

The sun glows
Of what could have been

And the ground is
Paved in what is
Now...

that is pretty close. and so discriptive. Back on the rez you can hear the stories that are told on the wind, from the hills, in the trees. It is becoming so rare though. they either stay silent or scream and it hurts just to listen. I love this poem. ok
