One Thousand in One Thousand
By Sean Mc Shane
Something, in a deep dream, asked of me a bizarre request
I would need many pens and plenty of notebooks for this test
" In your lifetime, you have used many words to tell your tales
thru poem, song and story, you always had enough wind in your sails
now We present to you a challenge, to complete before you die
write 1000 books, with a 1000 poems each, but you cannot ask why
You may choose just one thing, or someone to write all about
then pen these 1000 books, all in their complete amount
Can you answer this challenge that is far beyond a mortal task ?
And if or when you do, then as to " why ? ", you may ask
If you feel overwhelmed and know now you cannot see this thru
then say so at this moment and never again will we bother you . . . "
even in dreams, especially here, the Immortals always give themselves away
I'm not supposed to remember or recall any of this, though I do anyway
I had no hesitation with my reply, I answered them with a soft grin
that I would easily accept Their challenge and when may I begin ?
Many voices spoke in a confused murmur, most sounded so surprised
I had to say something more and that's when they all realized
This challenge is quite the challenge, one you thought I would surely refuse
obviously you all seem to have forgotten Her, the One I call My Muse
so you will have your 1000 books, each with a 1000 pages to be complete
I'm so easily inspired by Her, each and every time Her heart does beat
So again I say " yes " you will have them all before it is my time
just thinking of Her blissful beauty causes even my thoughts to rhyme
my poems will have various titles, though the books will share the same
they will not be numbered, no continuity is needed with Her lovely name
Sometime soon I will come back here and leave those books for you
shouldn't be too hard to find them, each one will be titled . . . " Labella
Blue "

A noble endeavor to be sure: and leave a few books of craziness, sleazy, mindless, perversity, and wanton / wayward wisdom for my contribution (got to keep it interesting). Labella Blue is a treasure beyond the smoothness of her tranquil name. Cheers guys!
