~Before The Break~

By Deathkitten

You never know what will enter my head
It's a warzone in there
Where thoughts flow rapidly
Decisions & illusions are undead
Countless efforts seem to go to waste
There is no control
It's a think tank
A bottomless pool
The magnificent tool
and too cool
for hearts
stars
and horseshoes
or clovers
and blue moons
There's no pot of gold
for praise
No rainbow
at the end of my day
but i'll take the big red balloon
It's cramped & cluttered
Often unorganized
and overfull
Deprived of greatness
from a mild case of intellect
Barely resting
and overstressed
Stretched
and slowly expanding
in fear of the word 'retaining'
fleeing & not remaining
but neither will my body
because nothing stays the same
Elasticity slowly gives
right before the break
