Carnivore

By Slingnasty

 The beast hunts
 while I sleep
so many white knuckle nights
deprived I weep

A whisper of hissed breath
A thousand tiny drums beating my ears to death
blood rushing fear grips mind
please . . . please . . . hide me where it cannot find

Is there no place to run
pain begins I am undone
a forked tongue licks out my eyes
into the maw awaiting its scrumptious juicy surprise

Punching through to my heart
drinking me down before ripping me apart
teeth gnashing splinters of bone
triumphantly I release a screaching howling groan

I carnivore agony I prey
how I love
eating my own flesh
and wither in decay

Eating oneself, a gastronomically nauseating proposition seldom elaborated-on, tremendous ending, now don't be a piggie! Cheers, and so unique too!!
