Abandoned Prayer

By Sean Mc Shane

. . . and
to the Celtic gods of a new leaf modern myth
                                                who still listen
                                            grant me the belief
                                                    in reverse
with anything, under your dying Sun

. . .  where to go
                                                    Nowhere
                                                       I am
                                              a Shadowman
                                          come out with more

. . . take me now

                                           thru your black glass
                                        a nightmare movement
                                           such lavish barriers

                                                 It  was given  !!
                                                It was granted  !!
                                           god-fuckin'-dammit  !!

. . . judge me and move on

                                                     remember
                                                the fragility of life
                                       poisons your rising flames

. . .  the waste of what could have been

                                                 lies to be told
                                               the rot of regret
                                                      roll in
                                                         as
                                              They all wander
                                              when They hear
                                                       and
                                   follow the cardboard maps
                                             to what I've seen

. . . the bleeding ruins of my beautiful creations

                                       whiskey and wisdom
great mistakes in a graveyard hour

. . . did you really think there were wishes in that well

                                                      and
                                                 I love you
                                                 whatever
                                                  you are

and one abandoned evening . . .
you'll know this now . . .
and the stars in your flashing eyes . . .
and whispers from my book . . .

Wow Sean... I want to read the whole script. I love this style of writing, after years of reading stage plays and very old texts, this was a very fun reminder of some old favs, awesome - XXOO Scholar

...I'm seeing desperation & rage thru most of this, quelled by a romantic finish...
