Lost

By darkness falls

Loneliness is a dark hunter from beyond silent stars
Stalking its prey
Depression is the misery of a thousand damned souls
In one heart
Sadness is the pain of razors against the emotions
No way to stop the bleeding
Discouragement an unseen path down a rock strewn mountain
You have to follow
Shame is the anguish of all those promises broken
Blame laid at your door
Hopelessness is the gathering gloom of a stormy winters day
Hiding around corners
Misery is the eternal night after the sun says goodbye forever
And darkness falls
Silence is the sound of nothing but your own heartbeat
Maddening in its quiet
Longing is the knowledge that will eventually drive you to the brink
Of utter aloneness
Fear is a killer of dreams and expectations and accomplishment
Just waiting to pull you under
Illness is all these things, just in a physical sense, a wrecking ball
We're all born dying
Insanity can be a relief to some, but to others hell on earth
As it is in heaven
Death is the end of that final beginning, a drink of water
Among the blistering sands of time

That is a beautiful analogy...I just wish I could feel it...I remember it, how it felt, but its been so long, maybe too long...
