Invisible Flare

By Sean Mc Shane

I can't keep crying about my Invisible Flare
                     Rogue vision
                     dead light
                     always flashing over there

Suspended, broken thoughts
ideas bleed thru a certain channel
                     chopping block letters
open fire on the political panel

Suicidal minds
                     murder and mayhem
how bad will it get ?
depends on how much I pay them

Slay them on the rebound
                     whirlwind romance in critical condition
                     took most of the liberties
                     without permission

On a weird transition into true crime
burying my head in disturbing books
                     inner turmoil builds a bridge
                     now I can grasp their outlooks . . .

Seeing the world thru the eyes
                    of the Other Me
                    only unnatural forces
                    could ever mother me

Then smother me
                    in the heart of fate
                    like giving candy
                    to runaway jailbait

And into a moral stalemate
that will petrify in no time
                    whether it's a deathbed rose
or something else in it's prime

Like a translator for a lousy mime
stepping over the glitter of skull dust
                    pulling my skin back over
to simply give in to the depths of lust

In Nothing I trust anymore
Justice is a brick to throw
                   hard to comprehend the damage
                   impossible odds begin to show

Give it a go anyway
                  see how the connections cross
                  play your wins out thoroughly
                  then witness what was lost

Toss it to the staggering breeze
manuver it all back and behind
                  try and keep it straight
but never keep it in mind

Or go blind in a 1000 yard stare
with my balls to the wall
                  badges seem brighter when guilty
and when judged by one and all

...'translator for a lousy mime': exactly what mimes need...life doesn't get any easier...

Thanks, FB. I actually saw a mime one time that definitely needed a translator. I thought it was a drunk clown. But then again, they'd be entertaining at least. Cool. later -

Watch out whose outlook you grasp, but then if you ever took Debate 101, you learn to argue both sides of any subject too. Superb statements of rebellion and independence perhaps. Good luck to us all.

Thanks, d. I know what you mean, I was going through a lot of true crime books for a few characters I was developing and the shit gets to you after awhile. There are some really evil players in the big game. Thanks again. later -
