The Devil & I

By Blood Saga

The devil came to my door today,
And he said: "It's freezing up here."
No one else would help him,
Not even when he begged.
So IĀ gave the devil a cup of tea,
And then sent him on his way.

He sat beside me unnoticed in church this Sunday.
Oh the devil and I, we did pray-pray-pray,
For world peace, minor miracles,
And other hopeless dreams.
For warm cups of tea, good company,
And other human things.

Interesting characterization of good and evil especially, so unique and personal too, thanks for this tale.
