Last Dream

By Sean Mc Shane

Songs about the night sky
and the shadows cast below,
                                                       Stars that twink and blink
                                                       in the sun's silent show
walk thru mountain meadows
lie down in the tall grass
                                                       watching the clouds move on
by the moon they slip past
the night wind sways the trees
pushing the silence to the side
distant thunder rolls on and on
                                                        as faded lightning will guide

                          . . .  it was about that time, She came . . .

I walked out of a cool dream
and into another
                                                        She is so Beautiful
                                                        unlike any other
just the way She is
the way She always was
                                                        like a forest fawn
                                                        She does as She does
I feel so honored
strangely enchanted
                                                        what a wonderful wish
                                                         I've been granted
to lie at Her side
after lying on top
                                                       have to catch my breath
but I never want to stop
my love keeps building
a temple to Her heart
                                                      so I may worship Her
as I've done from the start
when I realized dreams
sometimes come true
                                                      in wonderful colors
                                                      I can't describe to you
She is the One
there could be no other
so I will stay in this dream
no need to enter another . . .

A beautiful write Sean, Spring is my favourite season, the blossoms on the many trees outside my window are pink and captivating against the backdrop of the Welsh mountains.
