the one who resides within
lest you make him lonelier
and make him scream quite wild.

with bruised flesh stretched taut
 against his tiny frame,
whose wide eyes gleam with
more knowledge than
you could ever claim. 

Always feed him please
and mistake not his youth
for any sort of weakness
less he twist and tear
and bite and claw to
 bring you down to meekness. 

Remember, oh I beg of you,
please, remember to feed him!
Oh, Gods, the sound She makes!
It breaks apart my aching chest
and devours whole my only soul.
All the while, my broken body quakes.

 Forget not to feed him
for his hunger is always there.
I'm serious, my love. Please try
to understand all that I say to you:
I have failed to feed my monster
and now you see me slowly die. 

Always feed your starving child
but feed him not what you eat.
Feed him not bread or cheese
but instead poems about daisies.
Feed him stories about love and dragons.
