Untitled

By Sean Mc Shane

I awoke in black smoke
trying to break thru the dawn
I was jaded and shaded
                    from all that went on
I was hailed then impaled
                    by my own hand
I was confused and abused
                     in a nightmare land
my body was stalked and chalked
                     on a dead end street
by a ghost or a host
                      you don't want to meet
I've learned and I've burned
                       in the trials of love
I've dated and I've hated
                      all that's above
Been blown-out and thrown-out
                      of life's big game
getting beaten and eaten
                      leaving only my name
let them trash it and bash it
                      I need it no more
the last breath of my last death
                      will open that door
