Jupiter Pools
By Ladyhawke
Frozen
Bewildered
Lording over the sea
Collapsing from the
planets
Surrounding and supporting me
I'm charmed
Embraced
Captivated by jewels
Your arms, an oasis
Eyes,
like violet jupiter pools
Await
Enchant
Skip
rocks underwater
Entangle in your webb
The universe only daughter
Voilent
At peace
Dare promise me the stars
Carry
it through the wind
As the waters edge causes scars
Silence
Savage
As our dreams are our grave
Surround me
with beauty
Surely, there are those we can save

:skip rocks underwater: such a striking turn of phrase, thank you for these lines... the hopefulness of dreams, the inevitability of failure and the need to always try (hopeless optimism that so wracks a poet).

The imagery is epic! It gives me hope that there are those that can paint with words, and that the statement can be said truthfully and not ironically. I love the nautical themes and blend of contradictions to illustrate the complication of the feelings. 11 and a half stars, but not 12. Cause why, i said so.
