Tarnished Memories

By: Alexis Manley

tearing at my clothes
tearing at my skin
it crawls at every mention of your name

the very feeling of being
something made up
someone who was never really there

these now tarnished memories
and faded glow
with nothiningness to fill me

I wear the black gown of death
I hunt for the bitch that pissed me off
I cry out for real feelings

I fight for every breath i take

these tarnished memories are nothing more than dust
