Yuletide Cheer

By HeadpatSlut

The Winter Season alas is here-
And kin-folk all be held so dear-

And hold thee close thine loving kin-
To sooth the pain from out within-

The time of happiness is brought-
Out from despair thy spirit wrought-

The dreams be they blessed and last-
Of present, future, and of past-

And see what is there to behold-
Tales of long-passed times are told-

And words of those thine elder heed-
This joyous time that we all need-

To think of not such lonely pain-
And Happiness is what you'll gain-

For Family, Friends, 'ere shalt remember-
Within this happy, cold, December-

And so shalt be thine happiness-
From high above, thy soul caress-

To last one's soul throughout the year-
And wiser hymns be lent an ear-

So spend the time of Holiday-
With family and friends, but not in fray-

And so I say to thee aloud-
These words be spoken true and proud-

And so to thee this time of year-

To thee I wish my Yuletide cheer.
