For Tomorrow, We Die

By HeadpatSlut

For Tomorrow We Die

Awake and ready early on, we have no time to spare-

The Day is short and aging fast, be steady and prepare-

Hold tight onto your sword and spear, and raise your shield high-

We’re marching, bound for war.

We have so little, hold it tight, be cautious if you share-

Mark firm the spot on which you stand, you may well parish there-

Have no regrets, there’s just one chance, prepared to fight and die-

Ready any second now, for Silence evermore.

Plunging into Death’s dominion, delving sans a care-

Walking on the Razor’s Edge, ‘cause sometimes Fate ain’t fair-

Look into the Dead Man’s eyes, and hear him tell no lie-

Discard repeating histories, recall forgotten lore.

An old machine now useless, aged with rust and ware-

Do not dare to keep on living, do not dare not to dare-

High on Fyrdraca’s wings, ascend from Life and fly-

The treasure that you sought so long, is gone forevermore.
