Interlude

Interlude

Here I stand, alone to see-

A memory that once was me-

Reflecting glass that now is broken-

Our vows of Love are left unspoken-

Left now with Naught, just like before-

This world known as Nevermore-

Primal, knowing no evolution-

Longing for a retribution-

A memory now lost to Time-

In Silence meant to pantamime-

A play without a Theme or Plot-

And man's mechanics left to rot-

Once a place for souls content-

But now their pain shall not relent-

From such a life myself I’d save-

Chilled by specters from beyond the grave-

A state listless life not named-

A land with pride so poorly shamed-

A world known as “Nevermore”-

With nothing now, as like before-

But lo’, I now can see it true-

Across the Void, beyond and through-

A phantom wraith, a memory-

Upon twilight’s path, not meant to be-

Not there to see, not meant for me-

In peaceful sleep eternally.
