Chasm - The Mind
By Beautiful Incidental
Contaminated reflection - mirror knows not my name -
I've been idling
in exhaustion - treading the surface - routines the same -
Craving
a substantial release - form a fist - break this glass -
Revel in
the mystery of how the light refracts.
Now I'm weightless - without
form - free to be on my own -
Mismatched faces - infinite claims
- enter blessed silence - eyes close.
The monotony of breathing -
let it go - flee far from safety -
And the perpetual haunting of
human frailty.
I enter the aperture kneading inclination - bleeding
virtue -
Willing the wounds to scar - I persist - plunge deeper with
fortitude -
Determined to escape the illusion - the deviating definitions
-
Solitary confinement nurturing instinctual innocence -
Feigning
security - now breathe - open my eyes - analyze -
The shattered existence
- my image tainted by shards - lies -
Desires of the self held captive
inside.

Powerfully admired piece. Fine detailed imagery. So many relative images and verses that tell rawness.
Thank you for dropping by to pay respects to my little poetry.
