Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem

These moments that we have are few-
And so they should be cherished-
These times that we awake anew-
Remorse for those who perished.

We who live do carry on-
So that we may further strive-
With every day, each passing dawn-
To truly be alive.

We make of life all that we may-
With every waking hour-
Every minute, every day-
This is our greatest power.

So every day, with every breath-
We strive to see the earth-
For what it can be, before our death-
Then we will know our worth.

For when our day is done at last-
Our steel gone to rust-
What will remain left of our past-
Except decay and dust?

And so before our day is done-
Before we fade away-
We promise to bow down to none-
And vow to Seize the Day.
