-- with love --

By DIATRICUS

...and I held you
NO! --
we held each other!
as if it were the
very first time
as if we have always
held each other
and will never let loose
our bond
our intimate
connection
our solace within
each other's arms
within each other's
domain

...and I kissed you,
softly
sweetly, upon the neck
not with lust --
though perhaps
just on the cusp
you let out a
pale sigh
and pressed yourself
against me
harder than ever before
a passion
unbridled, yet
restrained, the energy
maintained

...and I lost myself
within
your embrace
and even now,
I long to be
with you,
beside you,
among you
your silent gestures
deafen me
your crisp, succulent smile
captivates me
your inner beauty
suspends me,
as if held by your
firm grasp
from the very
heavens

This lovely write captured me, captivated, as I read the lines of love out to my soulmate, I longed to be the author of these touching words that while tumbling from my lips, felt as if they were spilling from my own soul. I felt love's passion, as well as my own, as each word escaped my lips it carried with it all my love so perfectly penned I couldn't say it better myself. I instantly recognized the passionate depths of a love like mine. To me, "Your silent gestures deafen me" was the loudest line. All beautifully written words that echoed the beat of my own heart, filled to brimming with love. I would like to thank you from down deep in my soul for the touching inspiration you handed me with your truth. Such a beautiful gift, thank you. You lifted up my love, as well as my day. Truly, madly, deeply, I thank you. Bravo!
