I take it back

By freudian-slip

-You are so fucking immature Gina

these words and so many others

equal in strength
as they are in poisonous content
ring continuous

and still I fight to swallow back my own vomit
when I picture

the same lips
that once effortlessly
ran themselves
over my skin
and each breath that escaped them
would fill my heart
with nothing less than
poetry

remember that moment
when I finally had the nerve
to hold up my head

to whisper
I love you too

well I take it back

Beautiful and sad...I really. really liked this

  • A former member wrote: funny how of all the things that can last so long, that can burn themselves into one's memory indelibly, that can haunt and worm their way into the fabric and foundations of every passionate tapestry and future architectural triumph, hurtful words from the beloved can be as damaging as anything. And that is what I feel this expresses well; the last line as well as the first sealing the gentility of the middle into an envelope of utter contempt.
