I lost my backpack

By freudian-slip

I don't think I would have thought
for one single second
of it's disappearance,

If it wasn't for the skin pressed
embedded strap marks
still left upon my shoulders
and yet
I should feel older
and more wise

or stark naked
with it's sudden demise

but I don't

I just feel younger
