Mr. Fatty McFatty

By freudian-slip

Pulling into the driveway thinking simple thoughts,
like how much I'm grateful just to have a home,
and how much I appreciate what I've worked to be mine,
in front of me screams-
a sunshine
smile,
with guilt stuck in the crevices of his teenage joker smirk,
asking...

Mom,
can we please keep him?
He's followed me all the way,
from Austin's house,
and look Mom...
he's full of mud,
and he really likes Me.

Here in front of my eyes,
trots this little dirt laden lion,
who ironically had the same expression on his face,
as my son.

Something in-between love and some type of allergic sneeze grin,
running right along with the both of them,
as if he's part of the pack,
when suddenly,
before I could have a single reasonable thought,
I say...

"let's keep him".
