Call Me Angel
By Rhys Ki
Come and call me angel.
Be my saving grace.
Maybe it could be okay
If I get to touch your face.
If I went missing would you be scared?
Do you know? Would anyone else care?
If I died, would you want to come with me?
Somehow wanting and doing isn’t the same thing.
I want to know what I would be leaving.
I know I’ve done wrong, but don’t resent me.
No one can save me from myself or my memory.
Don’t bother; I’m just feeling so damn empty.
Come and call me angel.
Be my saving grace.
Maybe it could be okay
If I get to touch your face.
Are we all destined to fall in just one single shot
Like the bullet still in my heart that I long fought?
All I did was lose direction, getting lost somehow.
You happened upon me, creases of pain on my brow.
There you were, my only savior, but you weren’t willing.
And yet you’re the only song that I simply can’t sing.
Please, just take me close in your arms; be true.
I could be the best thing to ever happen to you.
Ignore my pain, my past, and all of my strife.
My dear, hold on to me like you held onto life.
I need to leave some reasons to be missed
Don’t take my beatings; I just want to be kissed.
Come and call me angel.
Be my saving grace.
Maybe it could be okay
If I get to touch your face. (X2)

This has such a beautiful unforced rhythm to it. It captures a sense of longing perfectly

I loved the chorus and the subject is something I can relate to. The third stanza didn't seem to fit/rhyme... Maybe its not noticeable with music? Anyway... Good one :)
