get hammered

By swing_the_hammer

drink yourself rotten
smoke a lot of pot and
make sure you've forgotten
all the things that you've been taught

they can tell you what to do
but if it's just not you
then you should have a beer or two
cause that's how happiness is bought

and if you can't recall
puking in that bathroom stall
and knocking your head on the wall
then really, all is well

there is nothing to regret
if you're so messed up you forget
the only consequence, i bet
is that the hangovers are hell

but even then, all that's required
is you sleep til you're not tired
you might even feel inspired
to go out again tonight

if your life ever brings you down
you can grab a bottle and drown
your sorrows at every bar in town
until you start another fight

well, you waste the good things you're given
when you're wasted, cause you're barely livin
yeah all the best of you is hidden
so remember what you've really got and
if you want then
drink yourself rotten
