Young love it was
By darkendomme
Young love it was...
on grounds bed of
crunching leaves. My love
I lay beside...beautiful mounds
hidden beneath the sun's
soon harvested sheaves.

Young love it was....

gentle snow falling between
naked kisses, caught in
eyelashes that smile.
My hands recalling how smooth
and fragile you felt.
Discovering love and it's making
on Decembers soft furs of pelt.
Young love it was...
These dimming eyes lovingly remembers.
Awaiting my turn, alone I now lay.
Each season a memory, of you I replay.
Watching and waiting as the returning
Spring melts the cold ice away....

Almost seemed like an elegy from the grave DD. You did well to capture something innate to almost all of we - the lucky ones. Cheers lady! - Dan
