If I were a Christ and other religious contemplations
By freudian-slip
I created for you
the perfect life guiding set-up
that would enable any complete idiot
to find their way through the maze
and effortlessly run through the tape claiming victory
but instead you hurt and embarrass me
over and over again
haven't you realized yet
that for you,
I've bled, died and have risen
instead
you continue to allow the worst of sins
wearing a cross around your neck
as some type of evil blocking fortress
while you continue to mock others and spread hatred
creating religious separations of various importance
that have little meaning to a man with nails in his feet and hands
that asked only for your loving consideration
or faithful devotion
and while your at it
if it's not too much to ask
for my gruesome expiration
make an effort to have some appreciation for others beliefs
and life convictions

religion was mandated by politicians who sought to have a middle ground amongst their people...and religion is always in the trouble of arguing the divine from the human...pretty much everything is two-sided when it's about religion, that's why it's very hard to write about it...but this is a strong piece, opinionated without fear of judgment or approval/disapproval of others...the cynical touch makes it witty...i liked it...very cool

I'm glad to see someone realizing that the problem isn't with religion and instead lies within mankind. I've grown sick of all the ignorant anti-religion blanket statements. Kudos to you for bringing something fresh to the table.

mankind creates religions...does not a flawed inventor lead to flawed inventions?
