  • "as though the first herald of Spring has whispered in your ear... I hear clear water , melting and trickling with promise ... just below the surface... I love this reminder of the opposite of my seasons..."

  • "Nice metaphor in this one of time marching on...into oblivion...with only a utilitarian legacy, if there even is a legacy, that will eventually be dropped off at a Salvation Army...purchased for $5...the legacy of a lifetime. : ) Ciao, T/S"

  • "Perfect anthem against the endless suburban sprawl! "with the power of Pine sol so close to nature, you can almost taste it!" - yup...so close you won't even miss the real nature once it is all cut down and ground into mulch... Great piece! I am off to read more! Ciao, T/S"

  • "irrespective of the transformation , the raw materials are still the same ; itchy , itchy wool ... as a metaphor , something akin to ' you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear ' ( perhaps ) , but with a personal element of self inflicted , claustrophobic horror... ~"

  • "when I was tiny and we were camping at the beach , someone would always call out "there's a squall coming " and we would all run for the dunes. My brothers teased me and I thought The Squall was some kind of sea monster for a while there :P ... This is a very cool poem .Great atmosphere you've created with the imagery and format and what do you call that thing ... onomatopoeia ?"

  • ""Breaking up,subtle, like a brick through a window" A great opening line. Because there is nothing subtle about a break up. My relationship ended recently and it was painless. I was very numb to it. Although in my times of lonliness i do miss her. Your poem reminds me of that day in so many ways. I believe this is what it's all about, reaching and toughing others through words."
