- "Cool imagery, still need to use your spell checker... good emotional content... you need to use a bit more punctuation, especially when someone is speaking... nice piece, write on "

- "Nice retell of Moby Dick, you should really run this through the spell checker, or at the very least re-read several times after you have posted... nice imagery, thanks for sharing"

- "I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "Selling out is the new keeping it real". Have hope though there is a great scene of people in many genres still making music for the music. Nice job :)"

- "I got one. One day, this big burly lumberjack named Butch comes home from work early, to find his wife in bed with another, lawyerly looking man. Butch flips out. He cracks the lawyer over the head, and then drags him down to the garage, where he secures the unconcious man's penis in a vice. As Butch is laying a knife on the workbench beside the vice, the man wakes up. He looks around, and then he says to Butch "Oh god! Oh, please no! You're not going to cut it off, are you?" Butch just smiles. "Hell, no, I aint gonna cut it off...." he turns to leave, "but you are, you son of a bitch. I'm fixing to set the garage on fire.""

- "I think any musician is caught in a catch 22 - The need to express contrasted with the resources to fund that expression. Love the writting though - beautifully expressed"

- "I agree with Alanarchy in the fact that its a generalization. i sing for the music, for myself. it comes from deep inside my soul. im working incredibley hard to make music im not making shit from, so i guess we are not all modern day musicians. good thing, huh?"

- "Well expressed. But kind of a generalization. Real musicians exist, some are even mainstream, and they got to be mainstream by working hard, and playing good music. If you only knew what it takes, hard work for little pay, months on the road away from loved ones, starting out playing gigs in shitty bars, for a group of maybe thirteen people, all for enough gas to make it to the next club. The next show, and if you're lucky, maybe there you'll have fourteen drunks to watch you play. I know some fans hate seeing their favorite mom and pop band go big. It feels like their not "just yours" anymore. But if you enjoyed the music, wouldn't you want them to be successful? I mean, so they can keep at it? I know, some groups loose focuse, or pander to labels that want the band to water down, or play to only a certain demographic. But the Modern day musician is still very much alive and well. And I love what he does. So I say, pay the man so he can keep doing it. If I could make a living from just my music, you bet your ass, I'd never touch another hand cart again."
