Dedication to President Obama- Poe Style

Many heard it while they slept
a chill and pause
that brushed our cheeks

Awakened from such
soothing sleep
unable to re-capture peace.

Dark wings spread across the sky
in fear we understood not why.

The Raven man has been released
from up on high or down below
no one's quite sure-where-he berths home

Ungainly, ghastly, gaunt
an ominous bird of yore
spills the ink and drains
the soul...nevermore...

Was it raised fists or hopelessness
that soared through out the land.
Clearly ignorant it was our tears
that beckoned this beast forth.

Uplift your prayers,
hide not your deepest sorrow
lest you be seen as wicked seed
corruption, greed, hells marrow.
