Torn pages from a diary

By Imsosickxxx

Duct taped hearts
Found and unbound
Rubber banding words
Limit the pain
Is that easier to swallow than cyanide and sugar?
Laced with rancid meat, no
You won’t be excused
Not until you plate is clean
No bittersweet remedy here
Just the sound of a thousand hearts breaking at once
Thunder and rain
But that’s talking in extremes
I walk alone, naked in the woods
Just to hear the trees grow old
Chainsaws
Oil slicked feathers and rabbit holes
I wonder if Alice ever felt this lost

I’d love to see your reflection in a gasoline rainbow
Or hear a war in a seashell
Or feel something explode inside my chest
Just for verification of its existence
I’m tired of monotony, normality, and simplicity
Difficulty changes everything,
But never enough
I’m tired of morals and ethics
Keep you fables and your psalms to yourself

I hate sheep; and wolves while we’re on the subject
Not penguins though
There’s something about one mate for life that seems honest
At least beyond most means
Although the medians wouldn’t agree with all the ranges
And all the integers never seem to add up for me
At least not in my book
But then that IS the same book that says

RELIGION+LOVE=WAR

GOD…what an ignorant concept
One sided and biased
The more we oppress the more we regress
Humanity has lost all hope
How do we find ourselves in a world where:
Babies are drowned
Fathers molest
Where sensuality=sexuality and love=lust
Where marriage is just a piece of paper and divorce is just a simple breach of contract

I retract all statements
And exact my vengeance and all those I deem worthy
I will be one with my angels and demons
I will be salvation for I see the true color of humanity
I have seen my angel of death,
In the errors of my ways
In my reflection
And as the armies march, wave after wave
I send my soldiers; messengers of my words
For a poets warriors are comprised of symbols forming words composing my decrees
Bringing forth my Armageddon of Beauty
Crushing all indignity
And for those of you that wish to be saved
Kneel before the masses and proclaim allegiance to the same
For this salvation is fleeting, and those left will be brought before the council
Your hearts in hand as an offering

There's never been a word you've put to paper that I haven't liked. And you already know my favorite part was the penguins I'm sure. And "sensuality=sexuality and love=lust" hit too close to the bone.

  • A former member wrote: This started amazingly -'of slick feathers and rabbit holes/I wonder if Alice ever felt this lost' -loved that. then it got a little preachy for me at points-but i respect your views and overall some wicked words/thoughts.

  • A former member wrote: nicely done. marriage is a piece of paper and divorce is a simple breach of contract. i like that. you're wonderful.
