’Keep running darling keep running’

By DeprivedOfReason

Six feet underneath the bottle
Price is too high
Eager. Apprehensive, Too eager
A faithless adhesive searching for clues

We’re all too eager to taste this disease
We’re all to eager to accept this as dreams

I can’t help but think
’Keep running darling keep running’
Never fear, my hands are here to keep you warm.
Bearing golden smiles trying to peel you off the ceiling,

the sheerness of your lines,
strewn edges of brilliance
cuantas cosas . . te podria. . . decir
pero no hay palabras …
only this reverberation of thoughts
silent eyes holding reasons why, there’s naked flesh
no alibis, just the interpretation of a dream
with the screams that followed

So far, from lying in your arms

We’re ashes fallen from the sky, side by side
Toasting misguided thoughts to the divine

So near of keeping a promise ashore

Exhaling smoked memories, into a foreign moon
Breathing surreal renditions of Picasso
Washing all the paints of our pains in a canvas too divine

Wasted messes lay by our burning tents,
Near the crevice of our mouths

Simple echoes remain entrenched
In asphyxiation, ARMED WITH OUR DREAMS.
Those we hang on our cuff links every morning
Before we leave all our comfort at the door

Sucker hearts slip tongues into our sinking heads
Breeding the conception of our exquisite downfalls
Mimicking the tossing of dice that never remembers how it wept
On Broken ankles, and trailing hearts
Leaving messages dripping off of the diving board of dread
Bred to mirror a galaxy of relativity.

If I asked you to Slip your hands inside me,
To Make flowers out of me, would you smile or run away
Then come back and scream for me to run with you
Would we then drown all the way down the bottle in laughter

My fingers are creeping invitations to you.

Please sit by me, help me dismantle all the sins of our fathers
Sit and help me pull this clock apart, lets figure how it laughs
its TICKS, and cries its TOCKS

Help me learn how to keep my petals from falling
Belied in claustrophobia, too near the end
I’ll wait my turn to tumble off this bed
Filled with rotten insinuations, filled with rotten fixations
Of a place that could never keep us here

. I promise darling. I’ll keep you warm.

  • A former member wrote: this is phenomenal - it reads something like a stream of consciousness - but i'm guessing you put a lot into it cos its so cleverly constructed.

amazing work - with such thought and detail, you make it seem so simple but reading through I find its not simple at all.
