matchlight lamentations

By whisperer

in the light of a matches gaze tell me

what do i look like my dear....
failure

missed oppurtunity?

a regret...

i look in the mirror and see my heart blasted across my chest like shotgun aftermath betrayed by myself and what i crave fooled into the grave so in silence i remain

what have you seen

i see you window shopping

and i am smitten by my futility

as i rise from the ashes staring at your experience patches fluttering in my burning nicotene breeze you just turn away leaving me nothing left to believe

you're half and half against and both sides just beat the living fuck out of an already worn doll in your closet

sitting amongst the rest of your skeletons listening to you whisper my name to yourself in the dark

crying out unheard

for to long

crickets fade in the night as i take up my spot in the corner for my own cynical purposes

*wipes off the mess of his heart contemptuously*

you know where to find me

yes we miss each other

but you can at least reload and try again
