Circles

By jack paper

Nearby
(but by our standards far)

A star dies, implodes, explodes
(what ever stars do when they die)
Propelling a million pieces
Through time and eternity
Scattering across the skies

Concentric circles

Conception

And You?

You are a rock
A ragged creation
A Heavenly body
Perfect in purpose

Fired
With brute force accuracy

Predetermination

Destination

On a collision course
With my soul

You catch my eye as you burn
Burn through my atmosphere
Fire-lightshow-streaming

A graceful arc

I gaze in rapt attention
Mesmerized
Unable to move
Knowing I should

I want you... I'm waiting
(Move.. get out of the way!)

Distance closing
(I can't stay, I can't stay)

Anticipation...... building
Impact imminent
(Run!)

Too late!

SPLASH/ / / /

Into the placid center of my soul
You displace and impart
An equal amount of grace
And in the aftermath

Echoes

Concentric circles

Spreading ever outward
Geometric progression

Conception

Predictable-Beautiful-Circles

Mirror of Saturn
Rings of eternity

Circles
Disturbing the surface
Replacing the reflected images
I had polished onto the glass
Of my quiet life

Until

I no longer see myself

Only perfect circle images

of

You

the brain candy in this is lovely, the emotions and visuals it stirred...haunting at the same time...that one could do so much and have so much power in just being an object of affection....great work
