I wish you were a poet
By BeautifullyRuined
give me inspiration
i need it
it`s been to long since i wrote a poem
that undressed my heart
laying it bare
in the form of inkstains
angrily sliced accross paper
please just piss me off
so i could write about killing you
in such imaginative ways
that my hate leaks accross the page
turning plain white
into the macabre landscape where
nightmares are born
make me the torn and bloody girl i was
the one who held such power
everytime my pen dropped
your heart dropped
knowing i was making your flaws visible
to more than just myself
because that is the sword a poet wields
and we wield it with such finesse
thatmere mortals dont even realize
we are picking them apart and making
their deaths beautiful with words
figuratively speaking(of course)
while other people drown their sorrows
in a bottle
i drown mine in ink
black-blue-red
in the end its all the same
things that i feel that you`ll
never understand
you just dont get it do you
but i guess that should be obvious
because only a poet knows
what a poet means
and you my dear are just not
one of us

Well said. So much better to drown your sorrows into poems rather than something negative. I loved this.
