[your permanence]

By doll on the rag

let's rejoice
let's shake it up
turn the volume up loud

let's be you and me
all happiness
and pure dumb
amazement
at how fucking alive we are
today

i wanna CELEBRATE
your permanence

take your ink from my pages
and weave my skin with it

we'll call it "the living chapter"

and you'll be

flesh of my flesh
blood of my blood

let's be magic
let's not waste
any more time
let's let go of those former stupidities
(well really that one's just for me but you knew that)

hey

let's be lovers

and since we've already got that

hey

let's just be friends
let's just be anything except unimportant
to one another

i wanna CELEBRATE
your permanence

take your ink from my pages
and weave my skin with it

we'll call it "the living chapter"

and you'll be

flesh of my flesh
blood of my blood

cause i really think
i'm finally coming into my own these days

yeah

and ain't that a trip
?

let's be sincere
let's be fiercefully forgiving

let's reminisce
about the [billion] tomorrows
coming our way

let's not breathe for a moment

cause in that silence hangs
all our better understanding

and

i wanna CELEBRATE
your permanence

take your ink from my pages
and weave my skin with it

we'll call it "the living chapter"

and you'll be

flesh of my flesh
blood of my blood

yeah

flesh of my flesh

and

blood of my blood

let's be lovely
let's be lovely
let's be lovely
(you're lovely)

they say the crippling thing subsides after a few minutes. it's really just that your foot's fallen asleep. you can walk it off, no worries. =)
