Only 99 Cents (Oh My! What a Deal!)

By A Broken Soul

There’s a whole big world out there
Fake satisfaction not hard to come by
Cotton candy and deep fried feces
Contentment is such a lie

Sitting on the sidewalk
For an hour more
Watching all the cars
Pollutions pouring out the door
Never looked more well
Than just short of hell
Never really can tell
Why does this serve us well?

There’s a huge line in McDonald’s
Why do I bother to wait for disappointment?
Surrounded on every side of me
Surrounded by obesity

Sitting on the park bench
Watching time fly by
Not knowing what’s happening
On an all-time high
Pretty shapes found in the smog
Killing the ozone layer
Everything is growing dim
Lying in the mess we have…

Become... A nation
Based around the fast food joint
Down just two blocks
From the hospital doors
And no one is quite sure…
How it got this bad in the first place
Where did we go wrong?

It’s too late
To turn back now
Created a hell for everyone
… And admission is only 99 cents

this was very effective in making me pissed off about fast food joints. it's true, they are always two blocks from a hospital...bastards. good write, good read.
