The Candle Men
By Doc
The fire quivers beneath fingers,
Its hides, but only often,
Mankind roasts upon it,
Apple in mouth,
Honor tied behind,
Bound behind his back.
The wax drips forth,
Filling the crevice of its mantle,
The mind wanders waiting for elevation,
Happiness drips forth into the world,
Filling the cracks,
Providing the numbness so common to it,
The red wax, blood of God,
Melted upon the world,
Jesus wept for this.
I am the Alpha and Omega,
I illuminate your faults and transgressions,
I do not forgive, merely enslave,
All those who put goodness before Gold,
Who’s eyes not view the right path of hate,
I am your King,
At least until I burn out.
SizzleSizzleSizzle,
Cigarettes lit from its power,
Burned to ashes, smokeless and obscure,
The world looks upon as it falls into darkness,
No, never darkness, enlightenment.
BURNINGMYHANDBURNSNOJESUSCHRISTGETITOFF
God stares down at the mere candle men,
He strikes them down,
A whip through the mind of the eternal forgiveness,
The rest of us bound to follow.
Two round holes exist in my hand,
One for every sin I've been forgiven.
