Chasing the White Rabbit

By Step_20

Forever shelter in your heart, the love you’ve never known
the helpless and unwavering, the left out in the cold
Provide me with an ending to this hole I’ve crawled inside
...The cool winds whirl with the meaning of life

You heal and teach with Midas touch
You cannot live, you know too much
to fit a life into a palm
the knowledge great, but time too small
Your tragedy has led to show
what common man should never know

So now a watcher you must be
to look ahead when we can’t see
to follow closely, then to lead
and contemplate our future pleas

to Run away and wear the soul
with worst of habits, as it were
to beaten paths I’ll never travel
Lest my sense has thus unraveled

a fate befallen those who help
and live with those who’ve been through hell
Damage...just some kid

Great write :) I really like that second stanza for some reason it stands out to me greater than the rest, but all of it was good and good end to it too
