of concrete beaches

By doll on the rag

ten a.m.
sunday morning
church bells in the distance
and a lame duck on the water

little duck
i know just how you feel:

so busy
trying to keep your head above the surface
you don't notice
the beauty
you're drowning in.

less a scribble though, more a classic framed in a timeless instant, unnoticed by a million faces but for one poet to whom there is something fascinating to be discovered in everything

aww.. =) which part of england are you in? tubingen is lovely, but i find it funny i'm so enamored with the river-- i've lived twenty minutes from one all my life, and never spend as much time there.

oh, holy crap. sometimes all my comments just get sucked into a void of a kind of internal stunned "perfect". Brilliant. *faveclicks*

=) the hostel sits right on the neckar river, so every morning i take my tea out to the concrete barrier and watch the ducks. (and sometimes swans!)
