flightless fancy
By not an addict
so sad to watch the faerie
try to dance without her wings
freedom over the horizon...
but always just out of reach.
and although i see her smile,
a truer beauty never seen,
there's a sadness in her eyes
screaming "really,
what's a faerie without wings?"
(you are missed)

oh this is wonderful... so few words that really pack a punch. There are so many possibly interpretations and fitting situations this could be lent to. Love it. Magical stuff.

Brilliantly concise, painfully insightful heartcrushing piece. This is an extremely well written snapshot that truly resonates. *faves*.

I cannot express how many times I have basked in the beauty of this poem, and trembled with it's sadness..It is late, I am tired, and struggle to convey just how this touched me ~ Pray you forgive me. Perhaps giving it a special place on my favourites wil

-will determine how much I appreciate this - How tremendously beautiful it is. You have captured a pure essence in so few words.."freedom over the horizon... but always just out of reach". Thank you, who ever you are..
