my blood fell on your bathroom floor
ignorant of it
you continued to sing through the door
all i could do was stare
as Valentines arrow punctured the only place
i had left to bleed

the blinding reds of my life looked so piercing
dripping in contrast to your white tile floor
even this i tainted, along with the chocolate lies,
the heavy sighs, and the poisoned roses you painted

you never knew, no, never noticed
that this love grew rank, now smelled like piss
How you loved to sip piss and whine
an echo of my cries submitted to your negligent decline
where my blood fell, an example so divine

as Valentine continued to sing for you
a melancholic indifferent reverie
a private soundtrack to my misery

my worn knees
made love to your floor
it knew me more intimately then you
as i wiped myself away
smeared to shades of pink
almost gray,
like rose petals in decay

A perfect ending to this day
hardly begun
