Nightly Shower
By liquid_emotion
candles flickering in the darkness
reflect off a steamy mirror
and fill the air with light scents
of apple, cinnamon, and wax
warm water trails off my chin
and flows in small rivulettes
down my glistening body
carrying away shampoo bubbles
and the daily grime of stress
thoughts drift in and out
with the pulsing water
and soft beating of my heart
I reluctantly turn the knob
and squeeze the last drops
of water from my hair
pushing open the now foggy glass door
as cool, night air rushes in
to chill my dripping skin
leaving goosebumps
that a soft towel will absorb

I had to reread this and comment on a new thought. But coming out of a hot shower into a chilly room: PERKY NIPPLES! Sorry my mind is in the gutter.

I cannot remember, is this one about me? If so, my critique is: not enough about the actual release! or maybe...you just leave me wanting more? ;)

here you find pulchritude painting in pastels, a golden flag that rises over the heels of the wheeling moon where even the slightest of contact with this world brings a resurrection of contingent thoughts worth remembering, as you have
