Navigating The Dark Waters Of The Unconscious

By Zhee

Stretching atrophic limbs, awakens
The skeletal primitive drive,
The water graveyard of flailing thoughts
Coveting the feral impetus alive.

Rising from the plane wreck
Of frenzied desire gone awry,
Sockets gaze at fish gnawing
At the remnants of its eye…

Breaking the rusted manacles
Around its cadaverous hands,
It exhumes the bloodstained dagger
From the super egoistical sands.

Waltzing to the screaming sirens
The resonance of madness adored,
Savoring the bloody sweetness
Death painted upon its sword.

Swimming through mind’s entrancing waters
Of lunacy and decay,
The festered skeleton smiled in rapture –
Madness had found its prey…
