Stone Out of the Ring

By Liath

Stone out of the Ring

You dropped the ball
I built up your feelings
Only to let them fall
You hate unhappy endings

You're not real
I'm not listening
I know how you feel
Your cheeks are glistening

As the ring fell
To the floor
I could tell
Our love went out the door

Through our fingers
The golden band slipped
I felt my soul take on the rigors
Our relationship, short, had been clipped

The gray and white striped stone
Rolled out of the mount
Now you're all alone
And I've fled from too many feelings to count
