It Was Fate

By celestine_moon

Our love, it was fated
And set in the stars
Though we know we'll be hurt
And reopen old scars

Our love is forever,
But in the meanwhile
Our hearts clash and crumble
In thunderous style

So much comes between us
But never enough
To fully erase love
Our hearts have grown tough

So build me a tower
Of crystals and tears
A painful reminder
Of loved and lost years

And maybe then someday
That tower she fears
Will turn into stone
With the coming of years

And we'll stand together
On this pillar strong
Yes, hand in hand, laughing
Our whole world long

But too bad dear Chris
That you were such an ass
We could have had something
But you let it pass

You built me a tower
On sawdust and spit
And now dear I know
That you're nothing but shit
