Shadow Zone
By Liath
On the fringe of existance
Surrounded by yourself
Only popular in your head
To walk the path of your shadow
Laid out upon the paved way
Eternally a follower
Knowing not your self
How I long to be a shadow
Towed around behind me
Shown only what is like it
Together, alone in the darkness
I wish to be my shadow
To know what I really am
For without a shadow
I am nothing
You must always have a shadow
Without it you are fake
Just like your reflection in a puddle
It shows the opposite
Without two sides to a whole
The threads of existance would unravel
There are parts to all pieces
Of things in life

it seems as if some of this is forced into the poem and doesn't flow well, sometimes you have to let the poem take its own course
