lunar jaunt

By missanthropic

incandescence cloaks the darkened landscape
as daylight's contours succumb to the shadows
most sleep through this term of dawn's creation
thinking themselves blinded
by the radiance of a beautiful shade
from which we draw an energy that inspires us to linger
not quite as long as we'd like
riveted by the cycle of Nature's pearl
