The Stars Above...
By Spiritus_Frumenti
As our souls intertwine in the mist of a silent grandeur,
An infinite vast of untouched beauty,
Lying beneath the puddles of our solemn tears,
On these tender lands of collective sighs and wandering eyes,
The stars above are watching
-
As our minds drift in the patterns,
Of hopelessness through the years,
Speaking of sad truths and bleak fantasies,
The stars above are watching
-
As our lives reach the end,
The bottom of fate’s frozen lake,
Gasping for nothing in the depths of everything
Wondering where the sun might be,
If maybe it died here with us,
If maybe the stars above are still watching...

Well done. The vacant exasperation of truth follows. The very narowminded desperately believe in all they think that matters and we regurgitate some sentiment or another..."gasping at everything in the depths of nothing" (to turn your phrase) may just be a gift of enlightenment...lol thank you

Absolutely magical. Together as one living the same old life in the state our 'world' is in. That's what I got from this. Gorgeous work. -L
