Angel
By nightshade
Just another lonely day
Standing here beneath your shadow
It’s just another lonely day
Where have all the memories gone
And the warm spot beside me where you used to lay
All the joyous games long gone
Encroached upon by some other familiar tune
Now I sit out in this darkness
The shadows cast around me by silver of the moon
It’s just another lonely day without you
All I wish has been swept away
Oh how I wish I could reach out and touch you
But my angel it's just another lonely day

this struck something in me from a while ago, well written piece, and the actual format of it adds to the feeling of it
